THANKS
No Left Turn thanks all of you who showed up at the Point Pleasant Community Park for the Katrina/Rita Benefit Jam. It was a beautiful day and all of the bands rocked. The bands who performed included the Mangos, the Mike Dalton Band, Disgruntled Postal Workers, Stir Crazy, Gary Cook and the Cookbooks, and Billy Hector.

We also thank all of you who came out to the benefit for the Jersey Shore Animal Center http://www.jerseyshoreanimalcenter.org/ at Use to Be’s. The event was poorly run but those responsible have been fired. The benefit provided much needed funds for the animal shelter.

Our good friends. An excellent progressive rock band from Point Pleasant.
DPW has two CD’s of original rock that are available from their website along with T-shirts.
Dave also plays bass for Stir Crazy, a classic rock cover band that has been performing in
Monmouth and Ocean Counties since the early 80’s.
Stir Crazy is Tami, Andy, Gary, and Dave. Their playlist includes titles from Pink Floyd, Heart, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Janis Joplin, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, Melissa Etheridge, ZZ Top, AC/DC, Neil Young, Jefferson Airplane, Judas Priest, Bad Company, Bonnie Raight, Allanis Morrisette, Dire Straights, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Foreigner, Steppenwolf, Weezer, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, The Doors, The Outlaws, Van Halen, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and Jethro Tull.
We’re NOT Brothers Band was formed in 1999 by
veteran players Charlie Mason and Truck, who have performed together since the
early 90’s as “Mason Truck”. With
Charlie Mason on vocals and bass guitar, Truck on vocals, guitar, and slide
guitar, the band also features Gary Hetrick on vocals and drums, also a veteran
player, from the bands “Stir Crazy” and “Sideshow Groove”.
The band performs a mixture of Classic Rock,
taking their material from The Allman Brothers Band, Bad Co., Eric Clapton, Creedence,
Deep Purple, The Doors, The Eagles, Free, Grand Funk Railroad, The Grateful
Dead, Jimi Hendrix, The Marshall Tucker Band, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones,
Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Walsh, Neil Young,
ZZ Top…and more!!

DALTON BAND
Note: If the

the hard drive so I have to reinstall all my software so I can view the mike
dalton logo?” Press “OK”. After all your files are deleted and you
have reinstalled the operating system and all of your files (of course you backed
everything up first right?), then you will be able to see the logo graphic.

“The Mike Dalton Band, out of Pt. Pleasant,
is on a fast track to being soon recognized as making it to the Billboard
Charts. The band, whose style is a combination of Bruce
Springsteen and Dave Matthews, has played over 104 venues that
cover the East Coast from South to North Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
Mike Dalton, singer, guitarist, and pianist of the band, has composed
three CDs consisting of original songs they also perform at their shows and is
currently finishing up their 4th CD soon to be released in mid-October. He has
also written songs for major television network airplay.”
HISTORY
Once upon a
garage, a long, long, time ago, there was a band called Seeing Double. This Seeing Double band is no relation to
the Seeing Double Band currently playing local venues. Anyway, Lenny and Dave were both members of
this classic rock cover and original rock band. They were known for being loud and obnoxious (Chris Nickerson was
also in the band) and rocked places like the Village Inn, The Stone Pony,
backyards, Lenny’s house, etc. Anyway,
shit happened, yadda, yadda, yadda, and
the band disbanded. Eventually Dave
ended up playing with Stir Crazy and Lenny found Chip and along with one of his
best friends, Johnny, formed No Left Turn.
And everyone was happy.
Well, because
of some real important and noble purposes, Johnny of No Left Turn, had to move
to California. Since that is a hell of
a commute from/to New Jersey, he had to resign from No Left Turn. Lenny, knowing that Stir Crazy was not
booking gigs on a frequent basis, turned to Dave and said “Dave, won’t you
please join our band? Well as you might
have already guessed, Dave replied in the affirmative and a new era of No Left
Turn had commenced. Johnny is missed
and is always welcome. Hey Johnny!
With a steady
monthly gig at the Red Lion in Brick and other appearances at Mugsy’s in Toms
River, Mulligan’s in Farmingdale, and the West Side Tavern and the Idle Hour in
Point Pleasant; Lenny, Chip, and Dave have really tightened up their
performance and truly enjoy every minute of playing for their fans.
Dave still
plays with Stir Crazy now and then.
He’s an Architect by day and his hobbies include watching Tv and that’s
pretty much it except for writing drivel on websites.
Lenny aspires
to get a gig with Ozzy and is a Mason by day.
Lenny sends demo tapes to Ozzy, but unbeknownst to him, Dave sends Ozzy
emails regarding Lenny and they are NOT complimentary. The reason for this, of course, is so that
Lenny won’t end up touring with Ozzy and leaving No Left Turn in the dust,
which, of course, anybody in their right mind would do. Just think of all the parties and stuff and
all the other celebrities and rock star type people he would meet. Sorry Lenny, can’t let you do it. We need you here.
Chip is a
Surveyor by trade and, in his free time, rides all sorts of gas powered bikes
and quads. It’s actually quite
amazing. We’ll try to get some pics and
short vids of his dirt riding exploits on this site soon.
